Applied Engineering pivots to an entirely service oriented model following the sale of its Software Sales and Support division to NexGenCAM, LLC.

February 1st, 2022 - Applied Engineering has reached an agreement with NexGenCAM that has resulted in NexGenCAM purchasing the Software Sales and Support department of Applied Engineering.

“This acquisition is an exciting opportunity for us to put more focus on our relationships with our customers and expand not only our engineering and software development capabilities but also the regions in which we do business.”, Applied CEO, Dave Raatz, said of the transition.

Applied Engineering customers have come to know and expect a high level of customer care, and they can continue to expect that following this transition. The entire Software Sales and Support team will continue on with NexGenCAM, so customers will continue to receive the high-quality and consistent care they have come to know and expect from their Autodesk reseller. Additionally, Applied’s team of over 100 engineers and software developers are available to provide a broad range of expertise and experience to all existing and future NGC customers.

“We came to a point in our discussions with NexGenCAM where both parties realized this move made a lot of sense for not only our stakeholders, but for our customers as well,” said Raatz. “We are looking forward to partnering with NexGenCAM, and we feel this acquisition puts them into a position to provide a more concentrated effort and delivery of new and rapidly expanding Autodesk CAD, CAM, and PDM solutions.”

“We are excited about the expansion of our team. Applied will further align and deepen our resources, which are committed to expertise in all Design and Manufacturing solutions in the Autodesk Portfolio. This new partnership also extends to all Applied Engineering customers, the benefits of working with an Autodesk GOLD Partner that has been repeatedly recognized for our accomplishments”, says Mark Fischer, NexGenCAM CEO. “This increase in software partner status means more certifications, more applications and support resources, and a highly responsive and local support team in the Applied markets.”
