For most applications, the Face strategy is the most appropriate option for facing a part, as this provides a very efficient toolpath for clearing an area with a large cutter. 2D Adaptive "Use Slot Clearing"

Enable this setting to start pocket clearing with a slot along its middle before continuing with spiral motion towards the pocket wall.
This feature can be used to reduce linking motion at corners for some pockets.

The Minimum Cutting Radius Parameter

The Adaptive Clearing strategy is designed to always produce smooth cutting passes - as long as there is stock left on a given machining level. When approaching the model for the final pass, the smoothness of the toolpath will however depend on the geometry - and the minimum cutting radius parameter.

Without specifying a minimum cutting radius, you will get a tight trochoidal motion with sharp movements - but only if the geometry has sharp corners like the indent on the right:
