When deploying HSMWorks on a network in schools or larger companies, the IT department will often use automated deployment tools to install HSMWorks on all the PC's. This tip highlights a few options that
are useful in this scenario.
The installer can be made silent by passing /SILENT on the command line. It will still show progress and a few dialog boxes, but this is by design and avoids the user thinking that the system has hung.
There are a few other options that may be useful to you, and I have listed these below. To make the installation run completely in the background, use "/SILENT /VERYSILENT
Force Use of Floating License
In silent mode the activation dialog will not be shown. Should you wish to, you can just run it separately after the installation. Just run "activationform.exe --onlyifnotactivated" from the HSMWorks installation directory. However, if you are installing a license server, you may prefer to set the license options directly in the registry.
