CAM Boot Camp
Free HSM CAM Efficiency Seminar
Lunch & Learn

Join us Thursday, June 23rd for our free HSM CAM efficiency seminar at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee's Innovation Campus! This facility is carrying out UWM's mission to host a powerful combination of industry, academia and nonprofit research organizations working in true partnership side-by-side.

Onsite is a prototyping shop using SolidWorks and HSMWorks CAM to run their CNC 3-axis and 5-axis and milling machines, turning center, and wire EDM to compliment other machines to be able to fabricate almost anything in-house.

Event Focus:

  • Learn the benefits of programming offline while your machine is making chips
  • See how easy it is to take a solid model and generate a program in HSM

Key Take-aways for attendees include:

  • Integrated CAD/CAM through full associativity to the solid model
  • Realize a 50% reduction in Engineering Change times
  • Adaptive clearing (high efficiency machining) included at no additional charge
  • Standard Post Processors Free/ Custom Posts, additional charges apply
  • Free 2 1/2 axis software for all customers
  • Free CNC handbook written on Haas CNC Controller
  • T shirt give aways, lunch, networking with local manufacturers and Job Shops

Navigating CAD Translation Issues for CNC CAM Programming

Presented by Modern Machine Shop & Autodesk

To remain competitive, CNC job shops need to program and machine parts as quickly as possible. Changes in the CAD model or problems with importing data can slow this process down. Costs can increase when proprietary formats require expensive translators.

Managing multiple CAD formats and model changes in a fast moving product environment requires an integrated CAD CAM solution that can efficiently manage data from dissimilar CAD systems, yet remain easy to use.

Date and Time
Thu, Apr 21, 2016 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM EDT

PRIMARY TOPICS

  • How to work with proprietary CAD formats without interrupting your programming process
  • How to automatically deal with CAD model changes from your customer
  • How to use an integrated CAD/CAM solution for necessary data manipulation, such as the creation of run-off data
  • How to go from import to CNC code in minutes, not hours
